OSHA COVID-19 Guidance for the Construction Industry

|
OSHA has recently issued COVID-19 guidance for the construction industry. This guidance is not a standard or regulation, and it creates no new legal obligations. Instead, it contains recommendations as well as descriptions of safety and health standards. The recommendations are advisory in nature, informational in content, and are intended to assist employers in providing a safe and healthful workplace.
The new OSHA guidance closely mirrors the requirements in the NABTU/CPWR standards adopted in April, and clearly advises that employers need to assess hazards and comply with OSHA Standard 1910.134 on respiratory protection.
